RIP Pauline

We’re lucky we had you for as long as we did.  I’ll miss you forever, but the missing is sweet.  I read this today:

p style=”text-align:left;”>There are stars up above,
so far away we only see their light
long, long after the star itself is gone.
And so it is with people that we loved —
their memories keep shining ever brightly
though their time with us is done.
But the stars that light up the darkest night,
these are the lights that guide us.
As we live our days, these are the ways to remember.
— Hannah Senesh, Mishkan T’filah

When the missing becomes too much, remind me to look up and find your light.  I love you Mom…I’m the luckiest daughter in the world.

Leslie, your writings about your Mom are just beautiful and too sad. I like the sentence best in your email of “May her memory be a blessing.”
I hope when I m gone that someone says that about me.
I’d like to send your blog (if I’m able) to Mary and Debbie, her daughter-in-law, in Seattle. They have such a close bond. With your permission.

With love and sorrow for your loss, Lillian

Les, dad forwarded your blog to me and I finally opened it this evening not to my surprise reading such a heartfelt journal like tribute to mom. You had me crying and smiling because my staff and I walked with Pauline through her journey these years and when she left this world. I remember many moments with her that make me smile—her voice still ringing in my mind. You were lucky to have such a wonderful mom BUT I know your mom knew how fortunate she was to have such a loving and caring daughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We love ya Les, don’t forget us here at Greenhills!P.S.May I share your blog with others if you don’t mind PSS I always told you you should write a book or be a writer!!!! WITH LOVE:::KAM AND FAMILY
